Creative journey around textile art

 

In May 2022, we set out with 5 amateur artists!

The aim was to push our creative boundaries using textiles.

 In this, we were guided by visual artist Jonas Vansteenkiste. He offered a historical perspective but also a contemporary context of artist using textile. He coached the group towards a show in Texture( museum of textiles in Kortrijk (BE)). 

Through personal conversations, he coached each artist in their individual journey.

Besides content and practical matters, he also helped them articulate their work in texts.

 Every Friday, the doors of Atelier Den Draad were wide open!  So everyone could see us at work, and follow our progress.
